Office
Office layout and design has been central to the work of our practice since we were first established. In 1982 (while with Ken Hutchinson Architects) Mr. Gibb and Mr. Gowling worked together as the Design and Project Architects on the prestigious and historic McDougal School converted to Government House South, the office of the premier when resident in Calgary. That early experience led to other significant government office projects such as Alberta Energy (3 floors), and the Court of Appeal (2 floors). Our expertise in functional planning has also allowed us to work on significant office projects such as CFCN Communications, the south Calgary Passport office, The Calgary Chamber of Commerce arrivals and conference facilities and the Red Arrow Coach ticket office. Recently the firm has completed a historic reproduction and administrative building for Heritage Park in Calgary and a sustainable office building for Stony Valley Contracting in the Taigia Nova ecopark, Fort McMurray.
“You succeeded in translating that vision into reality, with creativity, ingenuity, precision, and sparkling brilliance.”
Chief Justice, Catherine Fraser
Alberta Court of Appeal
